Overview

Create, implement, and review rigorous physics coding problems used to train and evaluate frontier AI models.

Responsibilities

  • Write a main scientific problem with at least three logically connected sub-problems that build toward its solution; implement verified Python reference solutions with full unit-test coverage.
  • Design tests that separate correct and incorrect model outputs. Run Tier 1 structure checks and Tier 2 quality rubrics on the central task platform, then revise work using QC feedback to meet Pass@K criteria across GPT, Gemini, and Nemotron judges.
  • Maintain low rework and aim for L1 approval on the first submission.
  • Join review calls, feedback discussions, and project standups during overlap hours.

Requirements

  • Skills panel lists PhD Physics and Grad Physics; the JD requires a Master's or PhD in Physics.
  • Strong Python and scientific-computing experience.
  • Ability to write rigorous, well-defined scientific problems with clear constraints and expected results.
  • Care with well-posedness, discriminative tests, scientific accuracy, and deterministic outputs.
  • Prior AI-data annotation, research, or scientific-writing experience.
  • Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks or coding benchmarks.
  • Experience with NumPy, SciPy, SymPy, or domain-specific scientific tools.
  • Published research or academic-project experience in a STEM field.
