Overview

Apply advanced physics knowledge to a customer AI-training project. Prior AI experience is not needed; scientific domain knowledge is the focus.

Responsibilities

  • Solve advanced problems in your physics specialty with rigorous, documented derivations and analyses.
  • Write precise solutions using LaTeX, stating assumptions, approximations and results. Use SymPy, Python and Jupyter for symbolic or numerical checks when relevant.
  • Explain special cases, boundary conditions and dimensional consistency; flag unclear project materials and propose reasoned interpretations or clarifications.
  • Revise submitted solutions after reviewer feedback, cleanly incorporating corrections. Keep documentation and reproducibility at professional research standards.

Preferred

  • PhD in physics or advanced-stage PhD candidacy with active research experience.
  • Research in High Energy Physics, Mathematical Physics, Biophysics, Statistical Physics, Condensed Matter (including moire systems, magnetism, PXP/Rydberg), AMO/Quantum Optics, Gravitation, Cosmology, Astrophysics, Quantum Information or Optical Properties of Materials.
  • 2-5 representative publications from roughly the past five years, with accessible arXiv or DOI records.
  • LaTeX proficiency and computational work with SymPy, Python and Jupyter; willingness to identify support needs.
  • Excellent written technical communication backed by clear, precise scientific work; strong analysis that isolates key physical principles and handles complex problems.
  • Availability for consistent work over 8-10 weeks at approximately 10 hours per week.

Engagement and pay

  • Contractor role. The source schedule says 10-15+ hours weekly with full flexibility, including after-hours/weekends. Its preferred availability also says approximately 10 hours weekly over 8-10 weeks; both statements are retained.
  • Advertised pay is $100-$200/hour.

Eligibility

  • Open to candidates worldwide.
