Overview

Responsibilities

• Analyze litigation, corporate transactions and regulatory or compliance scenarios for issues, risks and legal principles.
• Check AI-generated analyses, arguments and documents for accuracy, completeness and sound reasoning.
• Find errors, missing information and weak reasoning.
• Give clear, structured feedback and corrections to improve legal outputs.
• Use professional judgment in complex or ambiguous situations, weighing laws, facts and competing interpretations.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from a U.S. law school.
• Active bar license in at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
• More than 3 years of substantive post-J.D. legal practice.
• Strong legal reasoning, issue-spotting and document review skills.
• Excellent written English and attention to detail.
• Strong legal writing skills.
• Work independently in a remote contractor setting.

Preferred

• Experience in any legal practice area, including litigation, corporate, commercial, employment, personal injury, criminal, family, immigration, insurance, intellectual property, healthcare, securities, real estate, tax, privacy, environmental or regulatory law.
• Experience reviewing complex documents, identifying substantive errors or evaluating competing arguments.
• Legal technology, AI-assisted research or AI evaluation familiarity is helpful, not required.

Engagement and pay

• $100-$170/hour (USD).
• Remote contractor. Weekly hours, start date and duration are not stated.
