Overview
Support a research project with a leading AI lab by working through real data analysis workflows on your own Mac, helping benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.
Open to data analysts and spreadsheet specialists with 2-3 years of experience, or currently enrolled postgrad students in a quantitative field. Clearly structured responsibilities without the high pressure typically found in internships or full-time consulting roles.
Responsibilities
- Complete and narrate real data analysis and spreadsheet tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for advanced AI models.
Requirements
- You must own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher. Applicants without a Mac cannot be considered.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Numbers, and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, charts, data cleaning, financial or operational models).
- Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or 2-3 years of relevant experience plus a Bachelors from a prestigious institution.
- Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with SQL, Python/R, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Engagement and pay
- Pay: $50-$60 per hour (hourly contract).
- Part-time commitment of approximately 10-20 hours per week. Immediate start preferred.
- Independent contractor, fully remote, on your own schedule.
- Projects may be extended, shortened or ended early depending on needs and performance.
- The work does not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client or institution.
- Payments are weekly via Stripe or Wise for services rendered.
- Application: submit a resume, have a short (3-minute) conversation with an AI interviewer about research and reasoning, then complete a brief paid assessment. Expect a follow-up within a few days.
