  • Review AI responses for scientific accuracy, rigor and reasoning depth, finding subtle mistakes non-specialists may overlook.
  • Build detailed assessment rubrics and reference answers supported by primary literature and established methods.

  • Explain reasoning clearly in writing for other experts to follow and verify.
  • Maintain quality through peer review and iterative feedback.

Requirements

  • A PhD in Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, Epidemiology or a closely related discipline.
  • Hands-on research experience in an academic or industry laboratory; wet-lab experience is a plus.
  • Professional written and spoken English at C1 level or higher.

Preferred

  • Postdoctoral or industry research in microbiome, clinical or translational research.
  • A publication record, ideally first-author papers in relevant journals.
  • Microbiome skills: QIIME2, Kraken2, MetaPhlAn, HUMAnN, MAG assembly/binning and virome analysis.
  • Clinical/translational skills: TCGA, UK Biobank, biomarker discovery, survival analysis, EHR plus omics integration, and oncology/immunology genomics.
  • Statistics and machine learning for high-dimensional biological data.
  • Programming in Python and/or R, described by the source as required in practice, along with Bash and workflow tools.
  • Experience reviewing, benchmarking or writing scientific material.
